this sun icon appears on the right side of the clock. some world cities (like San Francisco, CA, USA, NY, USA, Berlin, Germany) have it, and others not.

Where did my first answer go? I really think it’s a Daylight Saving Time indicator because there are other devices that also use the sun icon to indicate daylight saving time.
And, as I mentioned before, those places are currently observing Daylight Saving Time.
mauve, My sister has a Nokia N82. She’s has lots of problems with hers.
